What is an eBook?
An eBook — short for electronic book — is the digital equivalent of a printed book. eBooks are usually read on personal computers using specialized software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (Free from Adobe), or on electronic devices known as eBook readers or eBook devices. The most well-known device is currently the Amazon Kindle (photo at left). Also, many newer wireless smart phones can also be used to read eBooks. Many experts believe these devices and the associated wireless technology will revolutionize print publishing in the coming years.
